K-On - School Revisit

On this trip I also went back to the old Toyosato Elementary School which was shown in K-On. For comparison shots, check out my posts of the outsides, the insides and the music rooms.

This is the platform at Toyosato Station.

They were actually changing the station signs when I visited. These new ones had Akane Toyosato, the Tetsudou Musume character for Ohmi Railway, on it.

One of the old signs.

At the train platform they also had these illustrations by Sunameri Oishii on display.

The train timetable. Mostly just 1 train an hour out here.

I saw a lot more of these K-On tobidashi figures this time, including this Azusa one.

The Mugi one I also saw the last time.

Inside the shop where the Mugi tobidashi was located, they still had some K-On things on display.

Still mostly illustrations and posters.

The Mio poster I saw in the window of the shop the last time was now inside.

Various posters outside.

The place where I saw the Yui figure the last time now had a Mio one instead.

Closeup of Mio.

This Ritsu one had been damaged.

The Yui one was now at the road in front of the school.

It had a bit of damage as well.

I also saw a Nodoka one nearby.

A shot of the school building. I also posted more comparison shots of the outsides, the insides and the music rooms.

I checked out the shop area of the old school building again.

Here they still had tons of K-On items on display.

Lots of figures.

Manga, illustration works and other books.

Plushies, cups and plates.

Illustrations, models and a big Azusa pillow.

Guitars and also a place to hang ema on the right here.

Lots of these cards and some ema here. Warning: These are extra large pictures to show more details.

Some closeups.

Keyboards and a drum set on the left here and more manga on the right.

Closeup of the manga.

The stairway leads up to the second floor.

Where there's more items on display.

Lots of cardboard cutouts.

Shikishi sign boards and more instruments, including guitars.

Closeup of the guitars.

A few more cardboard cutouts.

Some small K-On figures near the area where you could pick up tourist flyers as well.

They still had lots of K-On woodblock stamps you could use.

And K-On decorated lockers.

Lots of different items for sale in the shop itself.

Including K-On items.

Some Akane Toyosato goods on the left here.

Illustrations for the National Anime Holy Land Summit in Toyosato made by Ragho no Erika in 2014.

Gashapon machine for the same event.

They also sold Ton-chan bread here called Ton-pan.

Shaped like a turtle of course.

Yui plushie with a Love Live Sunshine You cap in the cashier area of the shop for some reason.

Some event flyers I picked up. One for a K-On event at the school and another for a Tamako Market event in Kyoto.

Your Name - Train Crossing

I also checked out a bunch of Your Name locations in Nagano, starting with the train crossing that was supposedly shown in the movie, which is located close to Otabe Station in real life. Image from Your Name - 10m56s This is the angle that seems to match the most compared to what was shown in the movie, but the screenshot is flipped and there's some elements missing. Image from Your Name - 10m56s This is the screenshot as shown in the movie. You can see the similar looking metal utility box in the picture here. Image from Your Name - 31m08s I also took a picture from the opposite side so the metal utility box position matches when the screenshot is flipped. Image from Your Name - 31m08s There's a sign with a 7 on it here, but it's not in the same location as in the movie. Image from Your Name - 31m08s I also took a picture from the road, then the metal utility box position matches, but the road and railway track is switched. K-On - Kitano Tenmangū Revisit

Another place I revisited was the Kitano Tenmangū shrine . The easiest way to get there is to take a bus to Kitano Tenmangū-mae. Image from S2E4 - 06m54s The torii gate at the entrance. Image from S2E4 - 06m55s The same cow statue I saw last time I visited. Image from S2E4 - 06m57s And the tower gate. Image from S2E4 - 07m05s The purification font is in the middle here. Image from S2E4 - 07m06s The sign here is smaller in real life. Image from S2E4 - 07m20s The other cow statue that's shown in the anime... Image from S2E4 - 07m26s That Ritsu and Yui rubs. Image from S2E4 - 07m32s Nodoka is skeptical about what they're doing. Image from S2E4 - 07m36s Sawako spots Ritsu and Yui... Image from S2E4 - 07m37s And yells at them. Image from S2E4 - 07m40s Yui then spots... Image from S2E4 - 07m42s Another sign. Not sure if this is the exact same location as shown in the anime, but it was the closest matching one I could see. Sakura Miku - Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival

While in Hirosaki checking out all the Flying Witch locations, I also got a few pictures of the Sakura Miku and Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival collaboration. At Hirosaki Station they had a giant Sakura Miku poster at the location I saw the Flying Witch ad back in 2016. Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival poster and Sakura Miku wall scroll inside the tourism information office at the station. Ad with Sakura Miku and Takamaru-kun, the Hirosaki Castle mascot. Lots of Sakura Miku themed tourist maps of Hirosaki. If you wanted a Flying Witch map you had to ask. Sakura Miku decoration on the train station door. At Hirosaki Apple Park they had this cardboard cutout of Sakura Miku and Takamaru-kun. Long wall scroll inside the Apple Park shop. They had lots of Sakura Miku items for sale here. Including t-shirts. Clear files. Mobile batteries. And pin buttons. They also had lots of apple goods for sale. Including various drinks. And actual apples of course. While waking towards Hirosaki Park I...
