Haruhi Suzumiya - Tokushima Port

In an episode of Haruhi Suzumiya the port area of Tokushima is shown, so I went and had a look. The closest train station is Tokushima Station which is a bit far away, but there's a bus from Tokushima Station that runs to Nankai Ferry Terminal one can take.

This is the Nankai ferry which runs between Wakayama and Tokushima.

Haruhi and the others exits the ferry.

The areas around the ferry terminal doesn't match what was shown in the anime.

Just a bunch of warehouses here in real life.

There's no stairs in front of the ferry terminal building, but otherwise it matches.

No speedboats here like in the show.

The ferry company got these mascot characters called Kirara Takano and Mai Awano.

They were on this vending machine.

On the terminal building.

Even on the side of the ferry itself.

And they also had character goods.

Girls und Panzer - Tank Club Shop

The Tank Club Shop in episode 2 of Girls und Panzer is based on a real place in Tokyo, so I went to have a look. The closest train station is Ichigaya Station. Image from Episode 2 - 09m12s The building still looks the same. Image from Episode 2 - 09m10s Unfortunately the shop itself, which was called Norimono Club in real life, closed down in 2017. It was run by the publisher Ikaros Publications which still is located here. Image from Episode 2 - 09m18s There's no buildings on the other side of the street in real life. Flying Witch - Pond

Another location shown in the first episode of Flying Witch is a small pond located at Tokiwano-noson Park. Image from Episode 1 - 17m01s It was cloudy when I visited so Mount Iwaki wasn't visible. Image from Episode 2 - 14m19s Around the pond I also saw what seemed to be bakke butterbur sprouts which was featured in the second episode of the show, although in a different location . Clannad After Story - New Hospital

I also visited the new hospital shown in the later episodes of Clannad After Story, not to be confused with the hospital Nagisa goes to when she's pregnant. Image from Episode 20 - 20m43s Image from Episode 21 - 08m55s The hospital is close to Kemigawahama Station in real life. You could walk here, but it's easier to take a bus. Image from Episode 21 - 10m03s It's called Chiba Kaihin Municipal Hospital, and not Hikarizaka General Hospital like in the anime. Image from Episode 21 - 10m06s I only saw one bench here and it didn't have a roof over it. Image from Episode 21 - 11m38s View towards the main entrance. Image from Episode 22 - 18m54s View of the hospital from the other side of the road. There's no park area here in real life. Image from Episode 21 - 10m49s There's no park area to the left of the hospital either, just more parking spots. Image from Episode 22 - 18m57s Fuko and Kouko outside the hospital.
