Love Live Sunshine - Chika's House Entrance

This time I also stayed at Yasudaya Ryokan which is shown as the place Chika lives in Love Live Sunshine, so I took pictures inside starting with the areas near the entrance.

This sign matches the one shown in the anime.

It's located inside the lounge area which is shown in several episodes.

Image from S1E3 - 06m45s

Chika tries to get her older sister Mito to invite people to the school idol concert.

Image from S1E9 - 02m54s

Chika is at the front desk of the ryokan here.

Image from S1E9 - 02m59s

Everybody are discussing if they should participate in the upcoming summer festival or not.

Image from S1E9 - 03m06s

In this sitting area next to the front desk.

Image from S1E9 - 03m18s

Chika walks over from the front desk..

Image from S1E9 - 03m23s

To the sitting area.

Image from S1E9 - 03m24s

And tells the others that she thinks that they should participate.

Image from S1E9 - 03m45s

You agrees.

Image from S1E9 - 03m52s

The screenshot here shows off the whole entrance area.

But I couldn't get a wide enough shot, so I had to split it up.

Image from S1E9 - 04m16s

Chika starts to wonder about why Kanan quit being a school idol.

Image from S1E9 - 04m19s

And thinks that the reason Dia gave them doesn't make sense.

Image from S1E10 - 13m22s

Chika overhears her oldest sister Shima and Riko's mother talking at the entrance here.

Image from S2E10 - 03m33s

This is right in front of the entrance where Chika is writing a note.

Image from S2E10 - 03m59s

She shows the note to her older sisters and mother asking for new years money.

Image from S2E10 - 04m24s

But Chika's mother decides to take the request literally and shows her various round objects instead. You can see lots of Love Live Sunshine goods and shikishi sign boards in the picture here. If you look in the bottom right you can also see some trays.

The trays were for arriving guests who got tea and a sweet while waiting to get checked in.

Image from S2E10 - 04m26s

In this corner they had more Love Live Sunshine items on display including cardboard cutouts.

Image from S2E10 - 04m27s

Chika is not amused.

Image from S2E10 - 04m35s

But everybody thinks that she's too old to get new years money.

Image from S2E10 - 04m40s

Behind where Mito is sitting here there were now some Love Live Sunshine illustrations on display in real life.

Image from S2E10 - 04m56s

Chika runs off when she hears You calling.

Image from S2E10 - 05m01s

Leaving just her sisters and her mother.

I also took a closer look at the corner with the cardboard cutouts. There's cutouts of Chika, Riko and the dog Shiitake, and there's also a giant Uchicchi plushie.

Love Live Sunshine posters hanging above the Uchicchi plushie.

They had big Shiitake and Chika plushies on display too.

Various Love Live Sunshine reading materials and a guestbook.

Lots of signatures in the guestbook.

And small drawings.

I signed it too.

The Eccentric Family - Hell

While visiting Arima Onsen , Yasaburo gets thrown into hell in The Eccentric Family. Some of the places shown in hell are located in Tokyo, so I went and had a look. Image from S2E6 - 04m51s This is the view from Shohei Bridge towards the west in Kanda-Sudachō near Akihabara. Image from S2E6 - 14m30s Yasaburo is next shown wandering around in Inokashira Park. Image from S2E6 - 14m33s This railway bridge got Keio Inokashira Line trains running on it. Image from S2E6 - 15m08s There's no ramen stand here like in the show. Image from S2E6 - 15m11s This is at the Keio Inokashira-kōen Station platform. There's more modern looking trains running here in real life. Image from S2E6 - 15m15s Closeup of the train doors. I've marked a path from the Shohei Bridge in Kanda-Sudachō to this station in the map below. Image from S2E6 - 15m21s Yasaburo runs towards the station. Sakura Miku - Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival

While in Hirosaki checking out all the Flying Witch locations, I also got a few pictures of the Sakura Miku and Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival collaboration. At Hirosaki Station they had a giant Sakura Miku poster at the location I saw the Flying Witch ad back in 2016. Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival poster and Sakura Miku wall scroll inside the tourism information office at the station. Ad with Sakura Miku and Takamaru-kun, the Hirosaki Castle mascot. Lots of Sakura Miku themed tourist maps of Hirosaki. If you wanted a Flying Witch map you had to ask. Sakura Miku decoration on the train station door. At Hirosaki Apple Park they had this cardboard cutout of Sakura Miku and Takamaru-kun. Long wall scroll inside the Apple Park shop. They had lots of Sakura Miku items for sale here. Including t-shirts. Clear files. Mobile batteries. And pin buttons. They also had lots of apple goods for sale. Including various drinks. And actual apples of course. While waking towards Hirosaki Park I...

Comic1 15

The final thing I checked out this time was Comic1 15. It's an event similar to Comiket , and just like Comiket it took place at Tokyo Big Sight. It's a smaller event, so I got a better place in the queue than at Comiket. Still plenty of people though. The Comic1 catalog was also the ticket, so you just held it up at the entrance to show that you had one. Since it was a smaller event it only used the west halls and none of the east halls. Both west hall 1 and 2 had circles selling doujins and goods. This is inside west hall 2. In west hall 4 they had a separate event called Character1 with corporate booths. In the Character1 area they had this big Nekopara TV anime ad. And some smaller ads for various other anime, figures and other stuff. Cardboard cutouts. Metallizing Art on display. At the Key booth they also had art. One of Kanade Tachibana from Angel Beats. They had a stamp rally at the Key booth for people who bought items too. In a corner of Character1 they had itasha o...
